Taiwan's health industry enters Indonesia to showcase its soft and hard power; expected business opportunities exceed US$20 million

The three-day 2024 Indonesia-Taiwan Image Exhibition, hosted by the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and organized by the External Trade Development Council, came to a successful conclusion on May 18. Among them, the "Taiwan Healthy Living Pavilion", which brings together 22 representative Taiwanese health and medical companies, is one of the landmark pavilions of this event. The pavilion showcases the excellent soft and hard power of Taiwan's health industry, which has attracted enthusiastic responses from local doctors and distributors, and business opportunities are expected to exceed US$20 million.

In order to promote specialty medical care in Indonesia, many Taiwanese medical institutions also joined in the event, including the National Taiwan University Hospital and Far Eastern Hospital, which are responsible for Indonesia under the Ministry of Health and Welfare's "New Southbound Medical and Health Plan", and the Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, which specializes in proton therapy. The software has obtained the Indonesian medical device license and received many inquiries from distributors seeking cooperation during the exhibition. The cervical cancer screening rate, innovative products and technologies have impressed local doctors, distributors and the public in Indonesia, and they are eager to introduce them as soon as possible.
